OVERVIEW: 

KODA RESOURCES IS LOOKING FOR AN Accounts Payable Specialist TO JOIN OUR TEAM IN DENVER. The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for the financial processing of transactions for the company. Their duties include daily bookkeeping and record keeping, financial reporting and the preparation of tax records for financial audits. 

JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Post business transactions, process invoices, verify financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable records
• Provide other clerical support necessary to pay the obligations of the organization
• Maintain meticulous records of outstanding payables
• Ensure the accuracy of an organization’s financial documents for payment, auditing and tax purposes
• Protect businesses against unintentional overpayment
• Practice effective monitoring to ensure payments are made to vendors in a timely manner
• Clarify any questionable invoice items, prices or receiving signatures
• Assemble and review invoices to be completed for payment
• Maintain copies of vouchers, invoices or correspondence necessary for files
• Type periodic reports and other records
• Obtain proper information and/or data regarding invoice payments
• Check vendor files for any previous payments and assign voucher numbers
• Prepare vouchers listing invoice number, date, vendor address, item description, amounts and coding per accounting policies and procedures
• Reconcile bank statements
• Input daily bookkeeping and record keeping
• Verify invoices against purchase orders and ensure goods or services were received before issuing payment to vendors

• WORK UNDER STRESSFUL CONDITIONS ASSOCIATED WITH CRITICAL PROJECT DEADLINES AND HEAVY WORKLOADS
• WILL NEED TO BE A SELF-STARTER AND ABLE TO WORK IN AN INDEPENDENT ENVIRONMENT

education and/or EXPERIENCE:

• An understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting skills is required
• Bachelors in Finance or Economics, Business Studies, or Accounting preferred
• 1-3 years of accounts payable experience
• 3+ YEARS OF Oil & Gas EXPERIENCE required

COMPENSATION RANGE/RATE:

• $45,000 – $75,000 ANNUALLY
• ACTUAL COMPENSATION OFFERED TO SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL BE FINALIZED WITH OFFER AND MAY BE ABOVE OR BELOW THE POSTED RANGE DUE TO SKILL LEVEL, EXPERIENCE, INDUSTRY SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS OR GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION
• OTHER COMPENSATION FOR THIS POSITION WILL INCLUDE BONUS ELIGIBILITY
