TITLE: AUTOMATION TECHNICIAN
REPORTS TO: AUTOMATION FOREMAN

Location: VERNAL, UT

OVERVIEW: 

KODA Resources is looking for an Automation Technician TO provide support to Middle Fork assets by ensuring all existing and new facilities are electrically safe, compliant with applicable codes and standards, reliable, and efficient.  THIS POSITION WILL utilize several technical tools including unique software applications, testing and calibration equipment to complete work tasks.

JOB DUTIES \ RESPONSIBILITIES:

• TO MAINTAIN SAFE AND RELIABLE OPERATIONS, THIS POSITION WILL PERFORM THE FOLLOWING; INSTALLATION, INSPECTION, CALIBRATION, CONFIGURATION, MAINTENANCE, DIAGNOSTICS, ASSOCIATED DOCUMENTATION, TECHNICAL SUPPORT, AND TRAINING
• COMPLY WITH ALL REQUIRED SAFETY PROCEDURES AND PROCESSES COVERING A BROAD SPECTRUM OF RTU’S, EFM’S, RADIOS, MOTOR CONTROLS, PNEUMATIC CONTROLS, AC / DC CONTROLS, INSTRUMENTATION AND VARIOUS COMMUNICATION PROTOCOLS
• UTILIZE SEVERAL TECHNICAL TOOLS INCLUDING UNIQUE SOFTWARE APPLICATIONS, TESTING AND CALIBRATION EQUIPMENT TO COMPLETE WORK TASKS

physical demands:

• While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, move items up to 500 lbs. with equipment assistance and use various hand tools and hoists. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

WORK CONDITIONS:

• Work in a team-oriented environment
• Will often work alone and with minimal supervision
• Work will often be outside in the elements

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

•6+ years of work experience

REQUIREMENTS:

• MUST POSSESS A VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE WITH AN ACCEPTABLE DRIVING RECORD
• SUBJECT TO RANDOM DRUG TESTING ACCORDING TO DOT REQUIREMENTS
• ASSOCIATES DEGREE IN INSTRUMENTATION OR RELATED EXPERIENCE 
• Journeyman Electrician
