TITLE: Reservoir Engineer
REPORTS TO: reservoir Manager

Location: Denver, CO

OVERVIEW: 

KODA Resources is seeking a motivated and collaborative Reservoir Engineer with 2–5 years of industry experience to join our Engineering team. In this role, you will support the company’s reserves management and development planning efforts, working closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer who is eager to expand their technical skillset while contributing to both economic analysis and field development projects.

JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Own and maintain reserves workflows and reporting.
• Perform production forecasting and decline curve analysis (DCA).
• Support the generation, updating, and documentation of corporate reserve reports in ARIES.
• Assist with modeling lease operating expenses (LOE) and input assumptions to support economic evaluations.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams on technical evaluations and development planning.
• Help troubleshoot production issues and identify optimization opportunities.
• Utilize Microsoft Access and SQL-based tools to interact with ARIES and internal data systems.
• Contribute to cross-functional field development discussions, including infrastructure and midstream integration.

knowledge and skills:

• Familiarity with ARIES or similar reserves software.
• Working knowledge of LOE modeling and economic analysis.
• Strong experience with production forecasting and DCA methodologies.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Access and SQL databases.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a collaborative team environment.

WORK CONDITIONS:

• Typical office environment, with occasional exposure to field or operational settings.
• The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate.

education and/or experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in oil and gas, preferably with exposure to reserves reporting and economics.

COMPENSATION RANGE/RATE:

• $100,000 – $150,000 ANNUALLY
• ACTUAL COMPENSATION OFFERED TO SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL BE FINALIZED WITH OFFER AND MAY BE ABOVE OR BELOW THE POSTED RANGE DUE TO SKILL LEVEL, EXPERIENCE, INDUSTRY SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS OR GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION
