TITLE: Reservoir Engineer

OVERVIEW: 

KODA Resources is looking for a Reservoir Engineer to join our team in Denver. This role will have broad exposure to many functions across the organization and perform advanced analysis duties under the direction of the reservoir group. The role will work in close coordination with geology and finance/FP&A and business development. 

JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinate year end reserve process with third party independently qualified reserve evaluator providing all inputs and evaluating results with the team
• Perform mid-year and interim reserve reports with guidance from Reservoir Team. Update all PDP and PUD forecast, LOE and GPT inputs, and any other necessary changes and provide final outputs to sponsor and bank syndicate.
• Analyze LOS Data: Ability to analyze the data and critically think about the inputs to ask questions from the appropriate team members.
• Assist in creation of budget and LOE models
• Maintain ARIES Sql database: Keep track of well status, input new wells, maintain production and capital data, etc.
• Reservoir evaluation of additional potential in both Uinta and Williston assets working with geology and reservoir teams.
• Support team with other production, KPI, and accounting data reporting.
• Support team with building LOE and CAPEX models using connected Sql databases and Spotfire. Ability to support analysis of the data.
• Work in coordination with business development / finance functions in potential asset evaluation and modeling.
• Assist the FP&A/finance team with financial modeling and field level forecasts.

WORK CONDITIONS:

• Work in a team-oriented environment
• Work under stressful conditions associated with critical project deadlines and heavy workloads
• Will need to be a self-starter and able to work in an independent environment

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• 3-5+ years’ experience in the Oil and Gas industry
• Python or R coding

REQUIREMENTS:

• Extensive ARIES experience
• Proficient with all Microsoft Office software
• Data analytics and visualizations (Spotfire, Sql)
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• 3-5+ years’ experience as an engineer
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information to management.

COMPENSATION RANGE/RATE:

• $120,000 – $140,000 ANNUALLY
• ACTUAL COMPENSATION OFFERED TO SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL BE FINALIZED WITH OFFER AND MAY BE ABOVE OR BELOW THE POSTED RANGE DUE TO SKILL LEVEL, EXPERIENCE, INDUSTRY SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS OR GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION
