TITLE: Midstream Business Development Manager
REPORTS TO: Reservoir Manager

Location: Denver, CO

OVERVIEW: 

KODA Resources is looking for a Midstream Business Development Manager to join our team in Denver. This role will perform varied tasks in support of the reservoir staff of the company.

JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and execute midstream business development strategies to support company growth and asset optimization
• Identify and evaluate new business and investment opportunities, including infrastructure expansions, third-party opportunities, and commercial arrangements
• Analyze market trends, regional supply/demand dynamics, and competitive positioning to inform strategic decisions
• Support long-term planning efforts, including capital allocation and infrastructure development strategies
• Build and maintain economic models to evaluate midstream projects, contracts, and investment opportunities
• Conduct valuation analyses, scenario modeling, and sensitivity analyses to support decision-making
• Assist in structuring and negotiating commercial agreements, including gathering, processing, and transportation contracts
• Support due diligence efforts for acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures
• Partner closely with Reservoir, Operations, Engineering, Accounting, and Land teams to evaluate and execute business opportunities
• Align midstream development plans with drilling schedules, production forecasts, and reservoir development strategies
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment between commercial strategy and operational capabilities
• Support executive leadership with analysis, presentations, and strategic recommendations
• Monitor and maintain market intelligence related to midstream infrastructure, pricing, and regulatory developments
• Prepare materials for management, board, and lender presentations
• Provide ongoing reporting and insights related to business development initiatives and market conditions

knowledge and skills:

•Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities
• Deep understanding of midstream value chain, including gathering, processing, and transportation
• Ability to evaluate complex commercial agreements and market opportunities
• Strong understanding of upstream development planning and its impact on midstream infrastructure needs
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling tools

• Will need to be a self-starter and able to work in an independent environment

education and/or experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, or a related field required
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in oil and gas, with a focus on midstream, business development, or commercial roles
• Experience evaluating and executing midstream transactions or commercial agreements
• Strong understanding of midstream operations, infrastructure, and commercial structures

COMPENSATION RANGE/RATE:

• $200,000 – $220,000 ANNUALLY 
• ACTUAL COMPENSATION OFFERED TO SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL BE FINALIZED WITH OFFER AND MAY BE ABOVE OR BELOW THE POSTED RANGE DUE TO SKILL LEVEL, EXPERIENCE, INDUSTRY SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS OR GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION
• OTHER COMPENSATION FOR THIS POSITION WILL INCLUDE BONUS ELIGIBILITY
